Con l’avvento della moderna architettura, alcune delle mode edilizie lanciate intorno agli anni Cinquanta e Sessanta, tra cui quella di creare case composte da più ambienti separati, stanno scomparendo per lasciare spazio a situazioni abitative più moderne, ad esempio i famosi e (per alcuni) tanto ambiti open space. Nati intorno agli anni ottanta, gli open space stravolgono completamente il concetto di casa in voga fino a quei tempi, introducendo un ambiente nuovo, spazioso e senza divisioni tra un ambiente e l’altro. L’idea dietro a questa nuova idea di abitazione era di permettere agli abitanti della casa di interagire con tutti gli ambienti senza dover aprire e chiudere porte, eliminando la maggior parte dei muri. Ma prima di iniziare a tediare tutte le agenzie immobiliari alla ricerca del vostro loft o open space, cercate di capire se è il tipo di spazio che fa per voi, per la vostra famiglia e per il vostro stile di vita.
